Austin Tylor O'Neal
Austin grew up in the small town of Griffith, IN with his parents and two younger brothers. He attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN where he earned a Bachelor degree in chemistry with a minor in biology. He acquired 4 varsity letters in wrestling and 2 varsity letters in football and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. After graduation, he became a home-owner for 2 years and decided he wasn't ready to settle down. So he moved to Chicago, IL and became a Principal Coach at Windy City CrossFit, where he met Megan. This is when he found his passion in individual program design and coached a CrossFit Masters athlete to rank top 30th in the world through the CrossFit Games Masters Qualifier.
During that time coaching, he was also an athlete who competed in the 2016 and 2017 CrossFit Games Regionals. He also qualified and competed in multiple professional competitions such as The Wodapalooza Fitness Festival and The Kill Cliff Granite Games. In 2017, Austin moved to Arizona to train full-time as an athlete under James Fitzgerald of OPEX/Big Dawgs, where he qualified for the 2018 CrossFit Games Regional. After only focusing on competing for a year, he switched his focus back to coaching where he coached at OPEX North Scottsdale, the OPEX HQ/Big Dawgs home gym, before finally making the decision to start Live ATOP Coaching LLC with Megan.
Fitness completely transformed Austin's life for the better and that was hugely in part to having some of the best mentors in the world guiding him. The endless amount of knowledge, tips, tricks, strategies, and expertise that he has picked up over the years are seen within his coaching.
Austin believes that everyone deserves to be happy and live their best lives. Austin's mission is to help you reach your goals through a personalized program designed to help you optimize your training, nutrition, and lifestyle so that you can reach your goals and #LiveYourBestLife.
Megan grew up in Frankfort, IL with her mom and brother. She was diagnosed with Lupus when she was 12 years old. It was at this time she realized she had a choice to make. She could give in and let the disease control her life or she could fight to gain her health back. Needless to say, health and fitness became the foundation upon which she built her life.
Right out of high school, she obtained her ISSA Fitness Trainer certification and began personal training while attending college at St. Xavier University in Chicago. She was introduced to CrossFit in 2011, signed up for the CrossFit level 1 course, and never looked back. She coached at, and managed, CrossFit Invalesco for multiple years while training to make the CrossFit Games Regionals herself. This is when she fell in love with the business operations involved in running a gym. After a couple of years at CrossFit Invalesco, she decided to move to Chicago and started coaching at Windy City CrossFit, where she met Austin.
After just barely missing the cut for regionals in 2016, (with the help of her personal coach Todd Nief) she finally achieved her goal of competing at The CrossFit Games Regionals in 2017. Shortly after regionals, Megan moved to Arizona to train full-time as an athlete under James Fitzgerald of OPEX/Big Dawgs, where she qualified for the 2018 CrossFit Games Regional.
Throughout this time, she continued to coach at CrossFit BOTB in Arizona. After seeing the success Austin was having with his clients, she made the decision to shift her focus towards starting Live ATOP Coaching LLC, with Austin.
Megan believes that it is possible for anyone to transform their life, and find happiness, through fitness, nutrition, and basic lifestyle guidelines. It is Megan 's mission is to help spread this knowledge and inspire you to also #LiveYourBestLife.
